Bob Eichem is the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Boulder, Colorado. His career in local government finance started in 1979. He recently completed serving his term as president of GFOA. He has served on the GFOA board for the past five years and has served on various standing committees.
The economic downturns of the 2000s and the flood that occurred in Boulder in September of 2013 tested the resilient aspects of the city’s long term fiscal plan. Bob will share with attendees “lessons learned” from Boulder’s experiences, and the work of GFOA’s taskforce on resilience. Both have resulted in tips and tools that can be used by your entity to successfully integrate organizational wide policies and operations to attain financial resilience.
