Description:

People are more polarized around political issues than they’ve been in a long time. In this environment there’s a new and compelling reason for governments to engage the public in decision making in order to build and maintain trust in local government. However, the challenges of communicating with  the public can be every bit as big as the need. In this session, the National Civic League will guide attendees through research-based, proven methods for interacting with the public in complex circumstances.
