Trust in government and trust in the finance office relies on a solid foundation of ethics. Finance officers are often faced with difficult decisions where ethical considerations may play a role. This session, focused on GFOA’s Code of Professional Ethics, will feature a panel discussion of both common and uncommon ethical questions faced by finance officers. Special focus will be on procurement and contracting issues, conflict of interest, and the role of politics.
