Dawn Marie Buckland continues to enjoy her lifelong commitment to public service. After serving in the United States Air Force for nine years, Dawn Marie migrated to municipal government where she has specialized in budgeting, policy and operational analysis, strategic planning and civic engagement. As the Director of Administration and Government Affairs for Paradise Valley, Dawn Marie has successfully developed processes and systems that streamline operations, engage stakeholders, and improve decision-making. She also serves on a national level on the Government Finance Officers Association Fiscal Resiliency task force, and on the International City/County Management Government Affairs and Policy Committee, advising on legislative policies, including fiscal policy, trade issues, taxes, unfunded mandates, homeland security, pensions and human services, infrastructure, and more. Dawn Marie has a bachelor’s degree in business and information technology from the University of Phoenix, management certifications from Arizona State University and the University of Arizona, and a Master in Administration from Northern Arizona University. She has been active with the International City/County Management Association, and previously served on the executive board of the Arizona City/County Management Association.
