San Francisco International Airport’s (SFO) Business & Finance Division seeks a highly skilled and collaborative finance manager to oversee the Capital Finance section. Reporting to the Managing Director of Finance, the Capital Finance Director formulates financing plans to support the Airport’s Capital Program and develops a comprehensive annual Plan of Finance for the Airport. SFO’s financial viability includes a $4.9 billion outstanding Debt Program that encompasses the issuance/sale of bonds, variable rate debt, interest rate swaps and commercial paper program. Extensive capital finance experience in the financing of capital projects related to construction of physical infrastructure is required. This position manages an experienced finance team including external advisors and consultants; advises executive management; negotiates solutions; directs financial policy work; and may represent the Airport in local, state and federal meetings. As such, strong interpersonal and communication skills are also needed. Experience working with airports or transportation agencies is a plus. Additionally, this position is well suited to an experienced municipal finance professional in local government or an individual that supports public agencies as a financial advisor. Requires Bachelor’s degree and, four years of managerial experience in finance. Qualifying experience must include at least two years in a supervisory capacity and at least two years in municipal finance. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or related field may substitute for one year of required experience, but cannot substitute for the requirement of supervisory experience in municipal finance.
