Job Description: 

The work of the position involves financial/investment management work supervising the activities related to complex cash management, including the oversight of cash activities for the Employees Retirement System, Consolidated Retiree Health Benefits Trust, and the County's Self Insurance Fund. Recommend changes to policies related to the investment of the cash balances within each Fund. The position will be the subject matter expert for cash management related activities and will work closely with the MCERP senior investment professionals in developing business processes. Additionally, the duties include:

Overseeing the investment of cash holdings within the ERS and CRHBT Identifying, recommending and defending investment strategies Supervising the work of two senior financial specialists Analyzing and researching complex accounting/financial issues Working with the ERP Implementation Team to ensure payment data integrity and systems security of retiree pension payments in the Oracle Payroll module

Minimum Qualifications Education: Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in Finance/Accounting. Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a medical history review and background investigation prior to appointment.
