The Senior Financial Analyst performs a variety of professional, high-level accounting and payroll functions, assists with both preparation of the City of Rochester's annual budget process and completion of quarterly and yearly Federal and State reporting. In addition, this position delivers support and financial testing for the City's multiple collective bargaining agreements, monitors changes for accuracy, and provides account analysis as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, focused on internal controls, financial cost analysis, budgeting, and financial work with at least one (1) year focused on payroll including modernizing benefits and accruals, analyzing retroactive pay, and accurately processing timely payrolls with Federal and State reporting.
Licenses and/or Certifications Valid driver's license
Desirable Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations.
