Job Description: 

The Position: The Director of Finance is the City’s chief financial officer and bears ultimate responsibility for providing leadership and direction in all areas concerning the City’s financial interests and business operations including, but not limited to, accounting, financial reporting, banking and investments, budget and financial forecasting, capital programming, debt management, financial and business analysis, and procurement. Qualification Standards: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in accounting or business administration and a minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant financial experience; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Desirable qualifications: Master’s degree in public or business administration, certified public accountant, experience in public sector finance/accounting, and possession of a valid driver’s license.
