Peg Hartnett is the Assistant Director for Training in GFOA’s Technical Services Center (TSC). Ms. Hartnett came to the TSC with more than 18 years of experience in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Immediately prior to joining the GFOA staff, Ms. Hartnett served for nine years as Finance Director/Treasurer/Budget Officer for the Village of Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Prior to that, she worked for another six years as Assistant Finance Director, first for the Village of Villa Park, Illinois, and then for the Village of Bloomingdale, Illinois. She also was Business Manager for the Bloomingdale Public Library. Ms. Hartnett received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University and her master’s degree in accounting and financial management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She served as a member of the Executive Board of the Illinois GFOA.
