Peggy Bunzli is the Budget Officer for the City of Boulder, CO. In this role, she leads the city’s Budget Office and manages the annual budget and six year capital improvement program budget development processes. Prior to this, she served as the City of Boulder’s Budget and Administrative Analyst for the Department of Housing and Human Services. In her ten years with the city, she has served on various committees and task forces, providing technical expertise in budget impact analysis, and organizational support in the areas of long range financial planning, diversity, and change management. Before coming to the City of Boulder, she worked as the Finance Manager for the International Baccalaureate Organization, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, preparing budget and consolidating the multi-currency accounting of the organization’s seven global offices. Peggy holds a BA in French, with a secondary field in mathematics, and an MA in Education from Austin College, Texas, as well as an MBA with distinction in strategic management from the Open University in the United Kingdom. She is a member of GFOA and serves on the Education Committee of the Colorado GFOA (CGFOA).
