Some of the biggest challenges that communities face are not contained solely within jurisdictional boundaries. Further, no local government has the resources necessary to address these problems on their own. This session will show local governments have re-conceptualized their role: going from just a direct provider of public services to a convener and coordinator of public, private, and nonprofit organizations to solve pressing community challenges. Speakers will specifically discuss the role of the finance officer in coordinating multi-jurisdictional efforts.
