Ted Clemons currently serves as the Assistant Budget Manager for the City of Topeka, KS. In this role, his job responsibilities include planning and scheduling the time frame for budget preparation, supervising the distribution of all budget materials, supervising department interns and budget tasks of other staff, updating forecasts, meeting with departments on budget issues, and coordinating the development of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). He previously served in Topeka as a Management Analyst. Prior to Topeka, he held internships at Roeland Park and the Johnson County Election Commission. He is a 2016 graduate of the MPA program of the University of Kansas and a 2014 graduate (magna cum laude) of Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy and Religion.
Currently, he is a Treasurer of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Kansas Chapter and member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Kansas GFOA, EK-GFOA, and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). He volunteers at a local elementary school, is a member of Knights of Columbus and is joining the City of Topeka Friendship Fund board which assists employees in need.
