Why did you want to become a CPFO?

I was looking to expand my knowledge base and further develop as a well-rounded public finance professional.

What did you learn going through the process?

Most of my finance career has focused on accounting and financial reporting. Obtaining this certification allowed me to reach beyond my everyday and learn about different areas of finance.

How has becoming a CPFO made an impact on you in your profession or how do you hope it will make an impact?

It has given me an increased level of confidence to tackle a challenge and go outside my comfort zone. I hope that by becoming a CPFO I will better serve my community and help to positively shape its future.

What would you say to others thinking about becoming a CPFO?

The process takes commitment and determination. It is an investment in yourself that will benefit you and the community you serve.21Why did you want to become a CPFO?
