David Clark

David Clark believes in the power of teamwork. From his time as an Airborne Officer in the United States Army, to his nearly two decades of service in the public sector, and now as Founder and Managing Partner of Allegiant Strategies Group and co-founder and CEO of MyGovGuide, he has a proven track record of bringing together talented teams to solve any issue in complex and dynamic environments.


David Clark is a distinguished leader with a rich background in public service and has a formidable reputation as a highly effective leader and a trusted advisor at the highest levels of state government. he has held significant roles such as Deputy Chief of Staff to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, overseeing a massive $43 billion budget and 28,800 employees, and serving as Chief of Staff for the First Lady of Florida, Casey DeSantis. Before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, David played a crucial role in addressing some of Florida’s technology challenges.


His expertise in government operations further extended as the Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Management Services, where he led a team to reengineer the state's IT infrastructure. Earlier, at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, he held multiple executive roles, including Deputy Secretary of Land and Recreation, Director of State Lands, and Director of Cabinet Affairs. He's actively involved in promoting STEM education, serving on various boards, including as the Chair of the Florida Talent Development Council, the Vice-Chari of the Tallahassee Collegiate Academy Governing Board, and the Chair of the Florida Technology Foundation. David's academic accomplishments include two MBAs from Cornell University and Queen's University, and two undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Flagler College. He also holds a certificate from MIT Sloan School's Artificial Intelligence Program and a Florida Real Estate license.
