Lauren Warrem has had an extensive career in public finance. Currently serving as the Chief Deputy Treasurer for the County of San Diego, Ms. Warrem has also served in a number of finance and investment leadership roles, including Finance Director/City Treasurer for the City of Vista, Finance Manager and subsequently Director of Finance at the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), as well as in the private sector in SEC financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley internal auditing roles. Ms. Warrem began her career in Assurance Services for KPMG, LLP, and in the past, has been a former trustee on the board of the California Asset Management Program. She is also an active member of GFOA, CSMFO, and CMTA. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Baker University in Kansas and is an active Certified Public Accountant.
She is a resident of San Diego County and has been teleworking from Crested Butte, Colorado for the past year, learning to snowboard. She has a 16 year old daughter and 13 year old triplets, two boys and a girl.
