Job Description: 

TOV seeks a dynamic and detail oriented Accounting Technician to carry out the town’s Accounts Payable operation. Under direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Technician will interact with internal customers and external vendors, recording and monitoring accounts payable transactions, and ensuring that proper and established accounting policies and practices are followed. This position is also responsible for administering the town’s purchasing card system for over 140 cardholders. Reconciles accounts payable ledger accounts and retention accounts monthly.

  • Two years heavy volume computer experience required
  • Detail oriented, follow-through with task
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Professional communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a team environment

Applicants must have a minimum of two years of responsible professional accounts payable experience, supplemented by a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
