Mark Ruff has been the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Minneapolis since 2016. Prior to this work, Mark worked as a public finance consultant for more than 25 years serving city, county and regional governments with bond issues and economic development and affordable housing projects. Mark has a B.A. from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and a M.A. from the University of Minnesota. He is a board member of Common Hope, a non-profit that operates primarily in Guatemala; is active in an inner-city church in Minneapolis; and is a tutor for an 11 year old through a local non-profit. He is an avid biker, cross-country skier, and Boundary Waters Canoe Area visitor.
