Scott Huizenga

Scott Huizenga is a local government professional with 20 years of experience in city management, municipal finance, labor negotiation, capital improvements, and economic development, and is a nationally recognized leader in resident engagement, budget and policy formation, strategic and financial planning, and developing financial policies.
Scott was appointed in 2020 as Director of the Office of Management and Budget for the City of San Antonio, Texas. He manages the development, implementation, and monitoring of the City’s $2.9 billion annual budget that serves over 1.5 million residents . Previously, Scott served as the Budget Director of Kansas City, Missouri, where he led the development and execution of the City’s Citywide Business Plan and Five-Year Financial Model. Scott also was previously the City Administrator of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, a full-service city serving approximately 8600 residents within a metropolitan area of approximately 100,000 residents. Scott studied Public Administration at the University of North Dakota, and holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Kansas.
