Natalie Laudadio
Senior Manager, Member Programs
Natalie Laudadio has been with the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) since 2006, bringing her expertise in communications and membership engagement to support the organization’s mission and strategic goals. As senior manager of member programs, she manages key initiatives under GFOA’s Membership Strategy, overseeing the productivity and success of various member programs, including targeted affinity groups and partnership events. She plays an essential role in ensuring effective, timely communication across member programs, creating and editing content for both internal and external audiences.
Natalie is also actively involved in GFOA’s Women’s Public Finance Network (WPFN), where she serves as the staff liaison to the WPFN Communications Committee. In this role, she coordinates the monthly newsletter for WPFN members, helping foster communication and community among women in public finance.
Previously, as senior communications manager, Natalie led communication strategies to align with GFOA’s mission and ethics, writing and editing content for GFOA’s newsletter, media releases, and member emails. She also served as a production focal point for GFOA’s print and electronic publications and developed strong relationships with media contacts, state and provincial associations, and other key partners. Natalie served in several roles—editor, proofreader, or quality assurance reviewer—for multiple editions of Governmental Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting (GAAFR), one of GFOA’s most popular and best-selling publications, contributing to the 2012, 2020, and 2024 editions.
Prior to joining GFOA, Natalie worked at a boutique health care law firm in Chicago, where she drafted marketing materials and edited pleadings and submissions to state and federal courts as well as other administrative adjudicative bodies.
Outside of her work, Natalie is an avid beginner tennis player, enjoying outdoor games at her local park, and has a love for pop culture, movies, music, books, poetry, and art. She recently began exploring watercolor painting through online classes with the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico—one of her favorite artists and places to visit. Natalie also volunteered at the information desks at the Art Institute of Chicago for six years, from 2014 to 2020, while the volunteer program was still active.
Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Spanish and a master’s degree in Writing with a concentration in Professional Writing from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Her comprehensive background in communications and commitment to member service continue to drive her impact on GFOA’s Membership Strategy initiatives.
