Dawn McGuire

With more than twenty-five years of experience, Dawn has been a dedicated member of the MVTA team since 2015. MVTA Finance Director Elle Reichert describes Dawn as "a kind, patient, and knowledgeable asset to the team," setting "an excellent example of what it means to be a team player." Dawn manages accounting records and financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, while also serving as an expert in financial software. She has played a key role in training and mentoring several finance and accounting interns. Known as the go-to person for questions in her department, Dawn’s reliability and expertise have made her an invaluable resource. Throughout various transitions in the Finance Department, she has grounded the team with her knowledge and adaptability. Her commitment to learning, attention to detail, and proactive support have contributed to MVTA’s success, including the agency’s twelfth consecutive GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
