10 Steps to Better Collaboration Between Finance and Fire
Course Overview
The individuals who work in the central finance department and the team that works in the fire department all want the best for the communities they serve. Because they have different perceived pressures and demands there may be a gap in seeing where the work of finance and fire are aligned. Misunderstandings can get in the way of the desires and intentions of finding ways to align and work together. Finance may not understand the true inner-workings of a 24 hour operation of fire service and fire chiefs may not fully appreciate he pressure and difficulty of balancing the budget across all of the departments and needs of a government. This course provides an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges your colleagues face and how to collaborate more effectively to achieve better outcomes for your government and the citizens you serve. This course should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
