With over a decade of public sector experience, Timothy led the effort to earn San Diego Community Power GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award in the agency’s third year, developing strategies that placed the agency’s financial growth years ahead of projections. He participates in the Capital Finance section at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and serves on three boards, including at his local elementary school (served as chair) and at the local community college. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and is also pursuing GFOA’s Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) certification. He is committed to lifelong learning and encourages his staff to attend conferences, gain new certifications, and engage with the community. As his nominators state, “We believe Timothy’s combination of expertise, community engagement, ethics, adaptability, and mentorship make him an outstanding role model for finance professionals.”
