Andrea Greer

Andrea Greer is the Budget Officer for the City of Columbia, Missouri. Columbia is located halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis and is home to the University of Missouri. Columbia has a population of approximately 130,000 people. Andrea graduated from Oklahoma State University with degrees in Journalism and Political Science with the intent to attend law school. As with lots of us, life happened and that never occurred but she did return to school and obtained her MBA 10 years later. She has worked in municipal government for approximately 20 years. She was the Court Administrator in Yukon, Oklahoma before relocating to Columbia. She started with the City of Columbia as the Treasury Supervisor. She briefly left the City of Columbia to work for the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri before returning as the Budget Officer. She has been in this role for the past three years. Andrea has been married to her husband, James, for 28 years and has two great kids. Jackson is 25 and resides in Kansas City where he is a Risk Management Associate for StoneX Group, Inc. Emily is 22 and is a senior in college in Michigan where she is studying to be an Early Education teacher focusing on Special Education.
