Nicole is a seasoned finance professional with a proven track record in both government and for-profit sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Financial Operations at Anoka County, Nicole oversees a diverse array of functions, including payables, receivables, supplier management, Human Services Accounting, Medical Billing, and Treasury operations. Since joining Anoka County in 2016, Nicole has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, particularly in enhancing electronic payment methods and ensuring Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance across the County.
Her role involves developing, implementing, and executing strategic initiatives to support the County's finance division, including successful implementations related to PCI compliance, electronic payments, and off-site check printing. Nicole excels in building relationships and serving as a liaison with county leaders, departments, government agencies, external auditors, and vendors. Her collaborative approach ensures seamless coordination of efforts and effective resolution of operational issues. She is skilled in team building, leadership, and fostering a culture of mentorship and development among her staff.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) candidate. She is an active member of various professional associations, including the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the National Grants Management Association (NGMA), where she contributes her expertise and serves as a mentor.
