David Jenkins
CEO, IPWEA
Over fourteen years Oceania experience in senior leadership roles including being CEO, General Manager and Country Head. David is currently the CEO of IPWEA Australasia a role he has held for over three years. He has led a new strategy at IPWEA focused on education creating an internationally recognised pathway for those working in public works / asset management. The organisation, under his leadership, is focused on delivering better value for members through engagement, relevant content, better tools and service provision. The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) is the peak association for the professionals who deliver public works and engineering services to communities. IPWEA provides services to its members and advocacy on their behalf. David has an EMBA from the University of Auckland, postgraduate at the University of Oxford and degree from the University of London. Currently he is on the Board of IFME (International Federation of Municipal Engineering) and has resided on Boards specifically in the tertiary education arena in Australasia and the South Pacific. He commenced his professional career at McKinsey and Company and PwC in management consulting. David played professional rugby in the U.K. and represents New Zealand in age group triathlon.
