Johnny R. Taylor, Jr.

Johnny R. Taylor, Jr., a native of Durham, NC is a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University where he obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences and a Master's in Public Administration, currently pursuing his PhD in Public Policy Analysis from Southern University and A&M College.

Previously he started his career in the banking and finance industry and for the past 20 years he has been employed with the Durham County Government Tax Administration Office where he currently serves as a Divisions Manager (Collections), in charge of overseeing supervisors, maintaining proper staffing, ensuring adequate training, developing, and maintaining effectiveness and coordination with other county departments and vendors.

Johnny has enjoyed serving the public in both his career and in volunteerism. He serves as a member of the National Black Child Development Institute, the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences, Rites of Passage Program for African American Males, the Durham Business and Professional Chain, and an esteemed member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
