Rodney Shine

Rodney Shine is Chief Deputy for the Marion County Treasurer’s Office. His duties include directing county investments, utilizing data analysis in decision making and managing agency risk. Rodney previously served as CFO for the same agency and was the Audit Manager for the Department of Audit and Performance (City of Indianapolis) prior to becoming a Deputy Treasurer.

Rodney was born the son of a Marine in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University. Mr. Shine won the 2020 Mayor’s Performance Award for his achievements in managing investment income and reducing agency expenses.

Rodney is an avid sport fan and currently serves as board chair for United Soccer Alliance of Indiana (USAI) which is one of the largest soccer clubs in the state of Indiana.
