Carla Walker-Alston

Carla Walker-Alston is currently the Budget Manager for Sumter County Government in Sumter, South Carolina. She has been in government accounting for 26 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Carla has been a member of GFOA since 2013 and a member of WPFN since 2020. She served on the WPFN Communications Committee for 3 years and is currently one of the co-chairs. She has served on the Spring Conference Committee for the South Carolina Chapter of Government Finance Officers Association (GFOASC).

Carla is married with 2 fur babies, and she enjoys art, reading, photography, and tennis.
