Grace H. Yoon
Budget Manager, Department of Financial Management, City of Long Beach, CA
Grace Yoon is currently the Budget Manager for the City of Long Beach where she works with a team to assemble and develop the City’s $3 billion budget with 23 departments and across 36 different fund groups (made up of 126 funds). The Budget Office works closely with the City Manager’s Office in developing and implementing strategic plans regarding the City’s budget. In addition, Budget Office staff develops short and long-term financial forecasting and planning; monitors current year revenues, expenditures, and status of budgetary fund available; and provides overall guidance and analysis on citywide budget development and management process to all departments and levels of the organization. Grace has been with the City of Long Beach since 2007 and Budget Manager since 2018.
Grace is a graduate of the NYU Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, where she earned her Master's Degree in Public Administration with a specialization in international development. Prior to her graduate studies, Grace spent a year teaching English in South Korean through the Fulbright Scholarship Program. She received her Bachelor's degree in Human Development from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Grace now resides with her husband and two daughters in Torrance, CA. She enjoys trying new things and ran her first marathon Fall of 2021.
