Job Description: 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing Financial Statements and performing technical financial analysis and accounting, ideally in a government setting. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are necessary in a Finance Department that interacts with the various organizations within the City on a daily basis as well as with other governmental entities and individuals outside the City. Advanced Excel skills along with experience in an ERP system environment are required. It is desired that an applicant has some exposure to project management and possesses problem solving skills. We are looking for that self-motivated team player to join the Financial Services Division as it does his/her part to help run the City. Possession of CPA is strongly preferred.

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience involving analytical work in finance, budgets, grants, investments, organizational performance management, or business process re-engineering. Payroll experience is desirable. Supervisory or lead experience is also desirable.

Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in accounting, finance or a field related to the essential functions. May substitute a combination of equivalent education and related experience. The city assesses 1.5 years of fulltime experience as equivalent to one year of education.

License or Certificate Possession of CPA is strongly preferred.
