In contrast with the Senior Accounting Technician, the Accountant requires professional accounting training and experience, has broader decision-making authority, and performs difficult and complex statistical and financial work that involves discretion and independent judgment.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or a related field; and two (2) years of professional experience in governmental or non-profit fund accounting is desirable.
