The Regional Park and Open-Space District is seeking a Deputy Director of Finance (Bureau Chief – Parks) to oversee the Finance Division of the District. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the District's $23 million budget, performing financial forecasting, and evaluating the effectiveness of financial accounting and information systems within the District. Additionally, he/she will assess land procurement and leases, grant requirements, and ensure compliance with local, State, and Federal laws. Competitive candidates will have experience developing, implementing, and evaluating control systems, policies and procedures, as well as preparing reports to inform the decisions of other executive staff.
This class has been designated At-Will by the Board of Supervisors, in accordance with the provisions provided under Article 6, Section 601E (8) of the County Management Resolution and serves at the pleasure of the Assistant Parks Director – Parks (Assistant Park General Manager).
