Overview: The Grants Administrator manages Santa Clara Valley Water District's (Valley Water) grant seeking activities and administers post-award compliance in coordination with various internal and external stakeholders. This position manages Valley Water's central grants portfolio, comprised of various local, state and federal grants valued at more than $30 million in FY 2020, and is responsible for financial administration and reporting related to grants. The Grants Administrator is responsible for identifying grant opportunities to grow the portfolio and actively prioritizes, plans and completes deliverables to maximize Valley Water's Grants Program effectiveness. The Grants Administrator provides leadership and assists with the development, implementation, evaluation and audit of grants, ensures grant expenditures are within the awarded level and reconciles grant financial activity. Additionally, the Grants Administrator develops policies and procedures, leads the planning and implementation of strategic priorities and goals established by Valley Water's Board of Directors and executive management in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. This position will also directly supervise professional staff and will report to the Treasury and Debt Officer.
