Job Description: 

The City of Sioux City's Finance Department is looking for an Accountant. This position assists City Departments with financial questions. Prepares financial reports including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), prepares fund analysis, manages the Accounts Receivable system and conducts research projects all of which requires interactions with various departments within the City.

Schedule of work is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position will be expected to work beyond 40 hours per week when necessary.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 2 years experience in accounting or auditing, accounts systems, financial preparation and computerized database and spreadsheets, preferably in local government, or any equivalent combination or experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
