This webinar will provide participants with an understanding of current and future market trends that impact issuers of municipal bonds. The event will also feature credit rating outlooks in various sectors of the market.
Rating agency representatives will comment on their outlooks for the upcoming year in the public finance sector. This includes addressing the credit pressures governments may face with the winding down of various federal grant programs, and concerns about ongoing federal funds flowing to state and local governments. Summaries of recent rating methodology changes used by the agencies will also be addressed.
The webinar will also have a robust discussion on the market environment for issuers. This will include how continued demand for tax-exempt bonds while Congress considers curtailing or eliminating the tax-exemption, may impact forthcoming debt issuances and management of outstanding debt.
