Since joining TriMet in 2015 as director of budget and grants, Nancy has played a pivotal role in achieving the district’s AAA bond rating and receiving multiple GFOA awards for excellence in budgeting. In 2022, Nancy became chief financial officer, leading initiatives such as the development of an energy credit program and the first fare increase in nearly a decade. Additionally, she served as an adjunct professor at Portland State University, teaching governmental accounting, and developed a regional group of chief financial officers to address challenges facing local governments. Nancy is known for her presentations on fraud risk and has been published in the Journal of Accountancy on the topic. She also served as president of the Oregon Board of Accountancy. Her commitment to fostering talent is evident through her participation in TriMet's mentorship program and the Employee Resource Group for Women.
